OUR TALENTED COMPETITORS

At work he puts out 100 percent in effort and focus on the job.

Goerklintgaards Dublet

(Diamond Hit x La Costa/Olympic Ferro)

The 2003 Dublet arrived at the Perry barn in November, 2012, after he having placed second at the five year old Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championships with a 9.5 for “capacity”, and as top 4th Level horse in 2010.

The bay gelding and Kasey formed an instant bond.  They competed in California February through June in 2013, and by the year end, they earned USDF 3rd place, Intermediaire I. In 2014 they were among only 15 invitees to the Gladstone USEF Intermediaire National Championship where they finished in 6th place among seasoned national dressage stars.

Kasey has found Dublet to be “the most gentle, loveable and playful personality. Yet at work he puts out 100 percent in effort and always focuses on the job. When he’s done working, he turns into a giant teddy bear, loving human interaction and, I must say, his naps.”

(Blue Hors Don Schufro x Ramona/Blue Hors Romancier)

Purchased from Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark, 1999 Danish Warmblood mare Scarlet (Don Schufro-Ramona, Blue Hors Romancier) joined Team Perry in July, 2013, as an experienced Grand Prix horse with an outstanding record in Denmark. The 1999 chestnut mare includes among her accomplishment first place at the four-, five- and six-year-old Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championships.

At their first outing together, the Oregon Dressage Society Dressage Show, Kasey and Scarlet were awarded a 74.605% at Intermediaire II. Their success grew at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida, and while competing in Europe with an average of 70%. Today, Scarlet ranks 18th in the nation on the USEF Grand Prix A Long List Rankings. When competing at the major competitions at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, the chestnut mare consistently was in the top 10 in the Grand Prix classes that usually contested up to 30 competitors.

Scarlet produced offspring in Denmark that have also enjoyed successful careers, including Ronaldo, 2013 USDF Reserve Champion – 4th Level with Christopher Hickey onboard, and now competes successfully at Grand Prix.
